FAQ
Q: What is embroidery?
A: Embroidery is the process of forming a design with needle and thread. This method add color, texture and dimension to a garment and can last up to decades with the proper care.
Q: What is DTF?
A: DTF also known as Direct Transfer Film or Direct To Film involves printing a design directly onto a clear film of paper that can be transferred directly onto a garment. This method of printing can last between 50-100 washes with the proper care.
Q: What is Sublimation?
A: Sublimation is similar to DTF but the finished results are different. With sublimation, a design is printed onto a specialty paper using a special vibrant ink. The design is then pressed into the garment using heat as well. This method makes it less likely for fading or peeling of materials because the design is embedded into the garment. This style of printing can last many years with the proper care.
Q: What is HTV?
A: HTV also known as Heat Transfer Vinyl is a specialty vinyl with an adhesive backing that is activated when heat is applied. First, the design is cut out, weeded then pressed onto a garment. With this technique, printing can last up to 50 washes or more with the proper care.
Q: What is digitizing?
A: Digitizing is the process of taking an image, converting it into a file that consist of a sequence of instructions that an embroidery machine can interpret. The mathematical measurements allow the machine to take the correct thread path. Good digitizing is very important and is key to a beautiful design.
Q: Do I need my image digitized.
A: If you are placing an order for the very first time, yes you will need to get your image digitized.
If you are a returning customer, placing another order on the same project, you will not need to add a digitizing fee. Ex. If you placed an order for 5 beanies and your design was digitized, then a month later you want to place another order for 2 more beanies. You will not need to add another digitizing fee. We will already have your logo and file referencing that size in our system.
PLEASE NOTE: There is a digitizing fee for each size. If we did a project on a beanie and the logo was 2" and then you would like the same logo on jacket back but in 10". That will cause for another digitizing fee because the logo is two different sizes.
